Geoselect
Overview
Geoselect is the commercial ArcGIS 9 extension that collects data sources of the current active project to one folder in the specified format, adapts the project (mxd) to the new data, checks of duplicates, projects all layers to uniform coordinate system. Create new project with relative path names, folders and datasources. Clip or split all layers in project by polygons mask. It is automatically created log a file. We recommend to use tools together with a free Typeconvert extension. If you have problems by installation then see this page. You can also use Geoselect geoprocessing standard. Functionality
Publication
Base function. Collects data sources of the current active project to
one folder in the specified format, adapts the project (mxd) to the new
data, checks of duplicates, projects all layers to uniform coordinate
system. Create new project with relative path names, folders and
datasources. Support of integration non-uniform vector data formats
into one. Clip or split all layers in project by polygons mask. Make local compact project from large stationary or distribute geodatabase. After choosing of necessary parameters and pressing of Export button the data are published and created project opens. Also It is automatically created log a file. Target project path: You select or create folder and the name of the target project. Spatial reference group: You select target coordinate system for layers. You can reproject all layers into coordinate system of map frames. You can also store coordinate systems all layers "as is". Transfer data group: You select type of the published data - personal geodatabase, folder with shape files, SDE-database. Initialise SDE user: The user name and the password enter for SDE database users. Clip options group: You select polygons feature class as mask for clip or split all layers in project.
Geoprocessing dialogue have the all ArcMap dialogue functions, exclude Clip (Split). It is also work from ArcCatalog.
Note: Feature
classes contained in a feature datasets are converted in feature
classes. If converting is carried out in shp the obtained file is
located into subfolder with a name of the initial feature dataset.
CAD-files are transferred to CADs folder. Rasters and special formats
are transferred to separate folders (Rasters, Tins, Grids).
Import & Publish data
Additional function of Geoprocessing "Import & Publish data" make also one new *.mxd document from multiply. It is check also all "cross" duplicates from source documents.
ImportAssociation of several projects into one. The button Import is intended for an insert of all units of page layout from the selected projects into current project as layers. It is support import of multiply *.mxd documents.
Geoprocessing dialogue: have the all ArcMap dialogue functions. It is also work from ArcCatalog. Change datasources
Change datasource for all feature classes with uniform datasource
Document. By right click mouse you can select change source for group
of layers. About
